My Current Writing Experience

Hi everyone! Today I thought I would begin sharing how my current writing experience started, and where I'm at now.

My current project is a Detective Mystery/Thriller that follows Caz Donovan, a detective for the Denton City Police Department, as he races to unravel a rash of homicides that seem to be connected to his past. As his past and present begin to collide, he has to sift through and figure out what's the truth and what's lies and face memories he's done everything to forget.

This project began as my first National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) project which I unfortunately didn't finish. As time went on, the story stuck in my mind and continued to evolve. I decided I needed to finish it. In between work, classes, and life in general, I have continued to write Caz's story. My plan is to have it finished and begin editing by this Summer (2025) so I can begin transitioning from a writing journey to a publishing one.
